Sclerotherapy
This method of treatment of varicose veins is effective in the early stages of the disease.
The sclerosant (a special substance), using a syringe with a thin needle, is injected into the lumen of a varicose vein or telangiectasia. When this occurs, obliteration (sclerosis) of the vessel lumen occurs by destruction of the endothelium (inner wall of the vessel). In simple words, the injected substance contributes to the bonding of the vessel walls, the blood does not flow and over time it becomes thinner and disappears.
The operation is performed on an outpatient basis and takes no more than 20 minutes.
The procedure is completely painless and does not require anesthesia. In one operation, it’s possible to do from 2 to 10 injections. In rare cases, the doctor prescribes a second session.
Hospitalization is not required.
After surgery, the use of an elastic bandage or compression garment, as prescribed by a doctor, is indicated. Disability does not occur.

Miniflebectomy
Miniflebectomy is a minimally invasive procedure that treats varicose veins, the operation is performed using local anesthesia, since it does not require serious surgical intervention and does not pose any danger.

Operation – Stripping
This is an operation to remove a varicose vein, which is used both for cosmetic correction and for the treatment of complicated forms of varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, when venous bleeding ispossible, or there is a risk of trophic ulcer.
During the Stripping operation, the large saphenous vein is extracted along its entire length from the groin to the foot by means of two incisions – one in the groin area at the level of the inguinal fold and the second in the leg region. This operation is low-impact and with a good cosmetic effect. In 90% of cases, patients completely get rid of varicose veins and the danger of its recurrence, as well as the danger of the appearance of trophic ulcers.
The intervention can be performed under local as well as under general anesthesia, completely painless, lasting from 40 minutes to 1 hour.

Crossectomy – Troyanov-Trendelenburg’s operation
This is a radical varicosis treatment.
Crossectomy is the only treatment for acute thrombophlebitis. It is highly traumatic; therefore it is used only for the treatment of thrombophlebitis and vein thrombosis, with the development of thromboembolism, when other methods are powerless.
The method consists in the mouth resection of the large (and small) saphenous vein and all its tributaries. During this operation, the experience and skill of phlebologists surgeons plays a big role. The disadvantage of this intervention is a big scar on the hip.
